The Qanoon said that it was taken out of context.

The Cockroach said, “What was to be said has been said—now, hold my exoskeleton.”

Not many days ago, the Qanoon addressed the youth as ‘cockroaches’ and ‘parasites’, who attack the system. With no offense, the system, the Qanoon was referring to has been compromised since the very first day when God created light, the system that is no longer resilient to parasites and viruses, since there are so many proliferating viruses roaming in its veins that it seemed to have been hosting them quite well and enjoying their company. Guess what? Unlike the real world, in the system, parasites and viruses get tickets to contest elections (some educated parasites too, with unsurprisingly good hands in law business, get seats in the upper house, or perhaps, it is being offered to them by Parties who put ‘Janta’ in their name).

The majority of people in the country, where the Qanoon calls them ‘cockroaches’, have taken the remark quite seriously this time. It seems as if the power is shifting from the higher to lower concentration, safe to say, from the real parasites to the Qanoon-proclaimed cockroaches. Not at all a surprising thing to happen, it is the basic, the common phenomenon of diffusion, as science calls it.

The cockroaches are lazy, unemployed, and perhaps nonsensical with a full-day screentime, but they are also strong bastards who are hard to kill, hard to deal with, and hard to squash by the flesh and bones.

However, the Qanoon and the power are in alliance; they have lathis, they have tear gas, they have barricades, but not to mention, cockroaches don’t give a fuck.

In the tug-of-war between power and resistance, power has feet with the boots on, but what makes resistance more resilient is the indestructible exoskeleton of a cockroach. If power tries to kill a cockroach by stomping on it, it is not the end because the cockroach will more likely still be alive.
